10 Things That Guys Hate About Girls

We have all seen the movie "How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days". Men and woman are different and here is a list of things I have noticed that guys hate. It doesn't mean that we have to change who we are... But it is always good to know what the opposite sex thinks. I have talked to a lot of guy friends, and these are the things that get brought up over and over again! So, in no particular order, I present.... Things guys hate.

1.) Ugg boots... Especially sparkly ones. They just don't get it. "UGG stands for ugly, right?" It doesn't matter how cute my outfit is or how perfect my make-up is. Guys don't like UGGs. Let face it ladies, sometimes we have to do what we like even if they don't get it.

No personality

We all want to make people laugh. We all want to have fun. When girls can't do either of these things, it is a drag. So if your guy is quoting a movie or telling a funny story and you simply sip your wine, chances are, he does not like it.

Really girly stuff

I think my phone is cute and I love the pillow on my bed that has Marilyn Monroe on the front, but guys always seem to be turned off. When you go from high school and college into being an adult, guys want to see that change. They don't want to feel like they are hanging out with their little sister. So bows on your phone or frilly pillows are a turn off. If you want a man, act like a woman.

Yikes! Nothing says "immature" like girls who still want to be a Disney princess. No matter what you might think, guys see this as child-like and high maintenance. No, they do not want to get married at Disney world or dress like Peter Pan for Halloween.

The Real Housewives

No man... NO MAN, has ever been able to watch this show. I have dated guys who will watch reality tv with me... But none have been able to sit through this with me. If you are dating a man who likes it, then he is probably gay. These shows are too much like their worst nightmare; there is constant drama and money hungry women. Just know that this has to be your own secret fun. Wait until he is out late or away so you can binge on this secret pleasure.

Unless you are sending a cute one to your man, it can be a real turn off. I remember having a friend in college whose phone was full of pictures of herself. Not only did it make her seem really conceded, it made her look like she had no friends to take pics with. So, beware the selfie.

This is a classic; Putting yourself down. No one wants to spend all of their time building you up. Worst of all, if you continue to point out all of your flaws, they might start to notice them! I have dated guys with physical insecurities and it is exhausting. Girls, they are happy to have you. You don't have to look "perfect"... If you meet a good guy then you are perfect in their eyes.

Jealousy

I have tried to hold on to men and make them forget their ex's but have actually lost them! She is an " ex" for a reason. If other girls are bothering you, then look to HIS actions, not hers. It doesn't matter what is going on, if he is with you, then he is the one who is responsible. But going through his phone or asking too many questions about his old girlfriend is going to get tiresome. Like so many other things on this list, it makes you look needy and insecure. Don't put too much on the past. He really wants to create a future with you.

Talking shit

In general, this is a drunken mistake that girls make. Don't worry- guys make the same mistake. I have talked to a lot of girls and guys who say that getting drunk can lead to a lot of words that cannot be taken back. But sometimes it is not just what you say about your partner, it can also be what you say about other women. Guys get uncomfortable with controversy. So if you say too much about the bitch who is rude at the office or the bank teller whose make-up is too much, he might decide to go to more pleasant pastures. Again- solidarity, ladies. Guys can actually get defensive about people they don't even know and feel that shit-talk about other girls is the worst.

If you are on a first date with a guy and you mention that you love Justin Bieber, you might not hear back. He is not the "Man's man" that guys like. I am afraid that you might get judged if "boyfriend" is your favorite song. So let's leave this boy at the door and go find a real man! Here is to the girls!
