Amazon Just Launched A Skincare Line Called Belei, And You're Gonna Want Everything

So, Amazon. You know it, right? It's probably your go-to for just about everything, and now it might just become your go-to for affordable skincare products!

Meet Belei (a combination of two words) — the initial drop includes 12 products and everything is $40 or under, with the most expensive items being the serums.

Their tagline is "We don't believe in beauty secrets, only beauty solutions."

Everything is (and will always be) free of parabens, phthalates, and sulfates, dermatologist-tested, and *never* tested on animals. All of the packaging is 100% recyclable *and* made from post-consumer recycled materials. ✨They're also fragrance-free — though there's definitely a subtly medicinal smell from the raw ingredients, but nothing bothersome.

What surprised me right off the bat is that they really thought through every skin type and skin concern to create a serum (three of 'em!) and moisturizer (also three of 'em!) with a specific customer in mind — because skincare varies so much from one person to another, that one-kind-fits-all simply doesn't exist.

Be sure to apply at the onset of any breakouts you have, and as always, sun protection is super important with active ingredients (so don't skimp!!).

Charcoal Balancing Mask, which harnesses the clarifying abilities of charcoal powder to absorb deep-set, excess oil and sweep away dirt and impurities, while aloe and hyaluronic acid ensure your skin is soothed and hydrated throughout — "we love a gorgeous masking moment," as JVN would probably say.

In my opinion, all moisturizer-sunscreen hybrids have an SPF of 30 — because anything less is totally insufficient and you'd be better off finding a separate sunscreen that'll actually pull its weight. I wear SPF 50 every day, so the fact that has the same amount is *chef's kiss*. And for me at least, it didn't leave a white cast!

Bio-Complex Moisturizer, a silky, feels-barely-there moisturizer that locks in moisture all day or night with the help of hyaluronic acid, squalane (a personal fave of mine), and glycerin.

I tried this on half of my face to compare it with my usual, also silky-like daytime moisturizer and see how it would wear under makeup, and I couldn't detectable a difference! It felt really comfortable upon application and definitely didn't irritate my skin or make my makeup pill.

Triple-Peptide Eye Cream, a lightweight concoction of a tri-peptide blend, caffeine, shea butter, and hyaluronic acid to address firmness, fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness — your eight hours of sleep in a small tin, if you will.

I will pretty much try any eye cream under the sun (hello, stress and erratic sleep schedule!) and I was surprised by how much I love the silky, whipped-like texture of this cream; it reminds me of dessert, which is fitting since it's the last step of my skincare routine. Despite my preference for eye gels, this cream absorbs really quickly and doesn't leave any residue, so it's a great option for day *and* night.
