It seems like there's been a whole lot of dumpster diving TikToks making their way on to my FYP lately. As someone who hates paying full price for something AND hates waste, I'm fascinated by their finds.
In honor of this trend making its way to the spotlight (yet again), here are some of the most impressive treasures that people have shared on the Dumpster Diving subreddit:
1. "$300 earrings thrown in the dumpster. So glad I saved them. 💕"
2. "My favorite! Always look at the dumpsters behind floral shops."
3. "I was going to buy a new office chair at an auction last week, passed on them and found this today. It's a $1,500 Herman Miller Aeron chair."
4. "I took it apart, cleaned everything, and bought a new battery for it. It looks brand new!"
5. "Student move-out season is upon us. They all work."
6. "Find of the year! I found two 65” flatscreens (Roku TVs) with the remotes taped to the back! Both in perfect working condition! So happy I was finally able to upgrade both of my parents' crappy old TVs!"
7. "Did I find 30 pairs of brand new $120 boots in a shoe store dumpster? Do all of my friends now have said pair of boots? Yes on all fronts!"
8. "Not one, not two, not three, but four pairs of Hoka running shoes."
9. "Best find yet! It amazes me what people throw away."
10. "God, I love working in waste disposal."
11. "A school had thrown these fossils in the dumpster. The claw and tooth at the top are casts, but everything else is legit!"
12. "I HIT THE MOTHERLOAD!"
13. "I went to my favorite dumpster and pulled out a mid-century modern bunk bed! It had no instructions, but my daughter and I ended up figuring it out. 😎"
14. "My greatest trash find of all time. Someone threw out a ball gown, and it fits me perfectly."
And finally...
15. "Found this little guy a couple days ago."
