I Dated An Indian Guy. And I Am A Pakistani.

It was more fun than I imagined.

Yes, 'Dushman Mulk'. The reality is much different from what is shown on your television set. Thanks to my obsession with different fandoms, I knew quite a few Indians through Facebook and Twitter. But this one guy I met on Facebook gave me butterflies even though I had never seen him (well except in pictures of course).

It all started when he inboxed me on a very lame pretext. He wasnt much of a looker (neither am I tbh), but he had this charm which wins the heart gradually. He asked me out, and we were dating the next moment. (Trust me, we were not that desperate)

Our convos used to get so so weird and hilarious at points, that I literally had to put my fist in my mouth to stop laughing. Be it Bollywood, Urdu, Ind-Pak match or Qandeel/Poonam,, our convo always reflected this 'cross-border difference' thing, but in a hilarious way.
