Did You Realize Lady Gaga Pretaped Her Halftime Show Roof Leap?
Still an iconic performance though TBH.
If you're like the rest of America, you're probably still recovering from Sunday's EPIC Lady Gaga concert.*

*Apparently there was also a football game going on. Carry on.
Perhaps the most INSANE part of her performance was her leap from the roof of Houston's football stadium down to the stage below her.

Like, it was truly nuts.

But what if I told you the stunt was mostly staged — the part where she sings "God Bless America" and "This Land Is Your Land" with the drones in the background was pretaped, and her "jump" was actually her being carefully lowered to the field below?

It also wasn't top secret that the segment wasn't live — an article in Wired about the drones she used during the performance said she "taped the show earlier this week."
As you can see from the NFL's video, the segment plays on the big screen right until Lady Gaga makes her "leap"...

...and then cuts to her being SLOWLY lowered, already a significant amount of the way down.

This video also gives you a good look at how the performance actually went down live.
If you rewatch what was played on TV, it seems obvious in retrospect. There are several seconds in between her "jump"...

...and when the camera cuts wide to her descending.

Regardless, the Lady deserves a HEARTY "YAAASS GAGA YAAASS" for that insanely BONKERS performance.
