When it comes to fandoms, there is probably no more passionate group than Harry Potter fans. There's Potterheads, and then there is everyone else.
But this year, they went all-out for Harry's birthday month (he was born on July 31). All during July, talented fans participated in the #31DaysOfHarry challenge. Each day, fans would share an illustration they did inspired by the series. And the results are MAGICAL.
Each day, fans would share an illustration they did inspired by the series. And the results are MAGICAL. Just check out this beautiful work of Harry himself, done by Sarah Cosico (@thelicklekiwi) who started the challenge four years ago.
Then there is illustrator @alexabosy, who did some seriously breathtaking work, starting with this drawing she did of Adult Harry and his sons.
Next, she made everyone who ISN'T a Ravenclaw jealous with this seriously badass illustration of some of the house's most noteworthy members. I'm gagging over Professor Flitwick in particular.
Her Pygmy Puffs and Puffskein have me wanting a new magical pet ASAP...
...as does her seriously adorable Pigwidgeon. It's SO on point.
On the other hand, her Bellatrix Lestrange is both terrifying and stunningly gorgeous.
And her Voldemort and Nagini is guaranteed to give you nightmares for weeks.
This version of young Harry Potter with Hedwig by @priello could honestly inspire an entire animated series, IMHO.
Her Ron is equally as impressive...
...but TBH, her Hermione might take the cake.
And I'm cackling, because she perfectly captures the Dursley's horrid personalities. Just LOOK at Aunt Petunia's sneer. I'm dying.
If you want a different take on the Wizarding World, @hmengert4 had some seriously spellbinding illustrations. Like, I want to frame this Patronus warding off an army of Dementors.
Her Bellatrix is friggin' amazing...
...her Voldemort and Nagini might induce heart palpatations...
...and her Snape seriously does the complex character justice.
I can practically hear Hermione say, "It's LeviOsa, not LevioSA," in this illustration @sarahlisahleb did.
Her interpretation of Luna Lovegood is equally as enchanting, Quibbler and all...
...and I'm super into her drawing of Remus Lupin, complete with a terrifying werewolf.
Her Hagrid, on the other hand, is so joyful, it would put a smile on even Argus Filch's face!
This dementor by @itsnailurus will keep you up all through the night.
Her Ginny Weasley looks ready to hop onto the Quidditch pitch, and I'm here to watch.
And she perfectly captures the quirky glee of Tonks.
How about her joyous Neville Longbottom — he looks happy as heck to be in Herbology class, and rightfully so.
And finally, let's close things out with her version of the one who started it all, The Boy Who Lived — complete with a Golden Snitch.
Well done, everyone! Even Snape would be (begrudgingly) impressed!
If you want to see more amazing illustrations, be sure to follow @thelicklekiwi, @alexabosy, @priello, @hmengert4, @sarahlisahleb, and @itsnailurus.
