I am so happy this exists. I’ve had panic disorder and major depressive disorder for about 8 years now. In those 8 years, I’ve learned to notice the signs of a panic attack coming on, and I know how to calm myself down. Sometimes it’s impossible and I just feel this overwhelming rush of tingly, heavy energy and I can’t do anything about it. If someone touches me, it physically hurts. I get hot, then cold, then sweaty and I know that all I can do is just sit still and wait for it to pass. I’ve noticed that it helps a lot when someone close to me just starts up a normal conversation with me, and doesn’t dare tell me to calm down. Remember everyone, we aren’t alone in this!
