Penn State's Freshman Recruits React To Sanctions On Twitter

Tempted by the lure of other programs trying to recruit them, PSU's incoming freshman class could easily leave Happy Valley for greener pastures, but most of them don't want to.

Lots of people are calling Penn State's fate a worse-than-death scenario--meaning that suspending the football program for one season would have been a better punishment for the school in the long run.

But despite the heavy-handed blows dealt by the NCAA, PSU's top recruits have expressed desires to stay with new coach Bill O'Brien and endure under tough circumstances, even if it means never playing in a bowl game.

The incoming recruits' Twitter accounts have been pretty active with their responses lately.

Other Pennsylvania area sportswriters, critics and fans have also jumped in the conversation via Twitter and other websites.

Although he's not flamboyantly tweeting about it, recruit Eugene Lewis' Dad says his son is willing to bear the adversity at Penn State.
