This Toronto-based Kbeauty shop was founded by Althea Johnson who had spent time searching for solutions to her own experiences with sensitive skin, eczema, and severe cystic acne. She took a deep dive into Korean skincare through a trip to Seoul and started her business to help those experiencing similar skin issues. Asian-owned biz, Hereafter was founded in 2012 by Yvonne Leung who kicked it all off by making a wooden greeting and soon after, she started making more cards and selling at local craft fairs. Hereafter crafts their products in small batches and uses hardwoods from trees in the Appalachian and Cascade Mountains that are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. They also work closely with One Tree Planted to plant 100 trees for every tree they use.
