If you've ever heard a Taylor Swift song, or two, or her entire discography like I have, then you may know that rain and Taylor Swift basically go hand-in-hand.
Well last night I went to Taylor Swift's Reputation tour at MetLife Stadium, her first full rain show of the tour. I'm not just talking a little drizzle here, I'm talking full-fledged torrential downpours, and guess what? It was the best Taylor Swift concert I've ever attended.
Tay was really excited about the rainy forecast. So much so, she documented it on her Insta story hours before the show started.
After playing her first two songs, she thanked the audience and her fabulous tour openers, Charli XCX and Camila Cabello for toughing out the weather conditions. AS IF I WOULD LET TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS STOP ME FROM SPENDING MY NIGHT AT A TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT.
One of the most special moments of the show came when Tay appropriately picked "Fearless," as the surprise acoustic song of the night. There is somethin' bout the way a stadium crowd looks when it's just rained, and it just makes me wanna dance in a storm in my best dress, ya know?!
In fact, this rain show was SO special that Taylor played not one, but TWO surprise songs. The second one she chose was "Clean," which every Swiftie knows is the perfect rainy day anthem.
Better yet, Taylor is playing another MetLife show tonight and rain is in the forecast yet again. Which surprise songs will we get? "Come In With The Rain?" "The Way I Loved You?" "Forever & Always?" "Hey Stephen?" THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS. I'm just excited to be there to experience Reputation rain show 2.0 tonight.
