    Made with non-stick coating! Plus, it's dishwasher-safe!

Promising review: "I usually avoid these little gadgets because really, who actually needs something like this? But I'm eating my words now because I love the thing! After reading about the leftover stuff that winds up in store-bought hamburger I started grinding my own meats. It makes a huge difference and it's not that much work. These presses allow me to put some meat in the press and gently tap it into place for a perfect burger. Creating stuffed burgers is much easier than doing it manually. Best small ticket item I've purchased in quite a while." —NHShopper

Get it from Amazon for $9.99.

    2. An air fryer to whip up "fried" versions of all your favorite foods, minus the oil. Chicken tenders, french fries, tempura, mozzarella sticks, wings — that's just scratching the surface of all the mouthwatering possibilities!

It yields up to four servings at a time, and is top-rack dishwasher-safe.

Promising review: "I don't want to get all gushy over a pasta maker, but man... I really love this gizmo! I try to limit my monthly food expenditures, and the Fasta Pasta helps me work in at least one inexpensive pasta meal every week, if not more. First of all, I like spaghetti, but I'm lazy and impatient and don't like things that take a long time to make, with a bunch of steps, and a big clean up afterward. The Fasta Pasta is perfect for me. I get the exact amount of correctly measured spaghetti; it's faster than boiling water in a big pot then having to watch and stir the pasta; the pasta comes out perfectly cooked every time and the cleanup is a snap. No big pot, no colander, no spaghetti fork to lift out the pasta. Just the easy-to-clean Fasta Pasta, and a pot to heat up the sauce. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!" —Smilin Sam

Get it from Amazon for $16.99.

    Truff

I am obsessed with all things truffle so Truff happens to be one of my fav brands — their hot sauces, spicy mayo, and these pasta sauces are a truffle-lover's dream. I was lucky enough to receive this set from the brand a few weeks ago and while I haven't tried the Arrabbiata yet, I can tell you the Pomodoro is AMAZING. So far I've had it with Barilla Protein+ pasta and Kohlrabi vegetable "pasta" from Trader Joe's and it was wonderful with both. The truffle flavor is there, but not overpowering, making this sauce a great option for anyone who enjoys a classic Pomodoro with a little bit of a twist!

I joined the Always Pan game later than most of my colleagues mostly because I doubted how any piece of cookware could be THAT loved by so many people. I consider myself to be a good cook, but I have an intense fear of accidentally eating undercooked meat, so I often tend to overcook things like chicken to the point of burning the pan. This pan must be crafted with magic fairy dust because when I tell you nothing sticks to it, I truly mean NOTHING sticks to it. Long gone are the days of having to soak my pan before scrubbing away at the burnt bits like my life depends on it. Burnt food slides right off with the grace of a ballerina. This pan is worth ever penny and more.

Keep the pan at a medium heat to always get the best cook, because foods cook differently, and you can take your time in preparing your meal. 24. HelloFresh — a service that will send you pre-portioned ingredients and simple instructions so you can quickly cook up fun and innovative meals.

tempura shrimp, broccoli, rice, and a spicy mayo sauce that BuzzFeed Editor Maitland Quitmeyer made using HelloFresh
the pre-portioned labeled ingredients from HelloFresh
    Maitland Quitmeyer / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "For me there are three great reasons to try a meal kit like HelloFresh right now: 1. to reduce trips to the grocery store without having to forgo fresh produce, 2. to get out of the same-dinner ruts, especially when we're cooking at home more than ever, and 3. to learn new cooking skills in a basically foolproof setting.

Here's how it works: You can select from the four preferences: meat and veggie, veggies, low-calorie, and family-friendly. Recipes come portioned to two or four people (but I find the portions to be generous), and you can get either three or four recipes per week (for the two-person plan) or two or three recipes a week (for the four-person plan). And of course you can skip weeks, upgrade to ~premium~ recipes (think surf and turf) for an additional fee, or change the number of meals at any time. When your box arrives, you get everything you need to make the recipe, chilled to perfection, and portioned accordingly (you just need to provide pantry staples like butter, oil, salt and pepper).

And the instructions? Totally foolproof. My fave recipe so far exemplifies how helpful HelloFresh is for trying out new recipes and techniques — say hello to my little friend, tempura shrimp. I have thought about making at-home tempura for like.....years, but it seemed like a lot of work, and I'd burn myself on the hot hot oil.

But this recipe took all the scariness out of it — turns out I *didn't* need a whole pot of oil to fry these bbs up, a shallow fry worked PERFECTLY. And when I feel done with HelloFresh, when we're no longer social distancing from the grocery store and I feel like I've learned enough, I will 10000000000% make this again on my own. And I've been thinking about the sauce (an easy mix of mayo, Sriracha, and apricot jam) ever since, and will put it on just every single thing from here on out — including just a spoon. And the portions are IMO, very generous — I could not eat what they'd consider one portion in a single night, and the leftovers always reheated just as deliciously as they were the first night. And the best part = you can access their database of over 2,500 recipes even when you're not a subscriber, so you can just use it as a cookbook when you're done subscribing." —Maitland Quitmeyer, BuzzFeed Editor
