Gibson the Great Dane had to have his right front paw amputated in order to prevent the spread of bone cancer. On the bright side, the amputation gives Gibson a 95% greater chance of survival, PLUS his Guinness World Record holding 7 ft. height wasn't affected by the operation. Whew!

According to a study from University of Virginia, viewing very cute images as opposed to slightly cute images "led to superior performance on a subsequent fine-motor dexterity task (the children's game 'Operation')" in the participants.
