What would happen if two handsome yet unlucky-in-love people decided to be each other's on-call plus ones for an entire year? Well, _Holidate_ answers that very question! Inspired by her zany Aunt Susan to find a platonic "holidate" she can bring to any occasion, Sloane strikes up a bizarre arrangement with Jackson, and the two start to spend every national holiday from New Year's Eve to the Fourth of July together. Sure enough, however, real feelings start to get in the way of their otherwise practical arrangement.

Inspired by the city around him, he begins writing _A Christmas Carol_, which also draws on his difficult past experience living in poverty. This movie will give you a super fun snapshot of Dickens's fascinating life, and reveal what moved the world famous author to pen one of the most beloved stories of all time!

If you're still not over Halloween, I have just the thing for you! Starring Adam Scott and Toni Collette, _Krampus_ is a cautionary tale about what happens to those of us who have lost our Christmas spirit. Two branches of the same family come together to celebrate, but it's anything but smooth sailing when a monstrous figure begins picking them off one by one. This film has hella slasher B-movie vibes, but it's pretty decent and a laugh for sure!

If you're in the mood for a musical with tons of heart, look no further than this movie! Inspired by a 1961 play by Harlem Renaissance icon Langston Hughes, this film follows a troubled Baltimore teen who is sent by his single mother to NYC to spend Christmas with his estranged grandparents. Although he clashes with them at first, he soon learns the importance of family and forgiveness. With a killer ensemble cast to boot, this movie has all the good vibes you need for a 2020 Christmas watch!
