Many of us cyclists ask ourselves, why is it fair that motor vehicles come with bright turn signals while us cyclists rely on our arms to signal a turn?
As many of you will know, this procedure is something we get used to, but it's not safe at all. Having to steer one handed for a start, during a potentially difficult turn, and then there's the inevitable fear that the person behind didn't even notice our arm signal.
This is particularly difficult when cyclists are having to navigate in and around cars and buses, even if there is a designated cycling lane. But never fear, help has arrived by the engineers at Buztronics, whose team of specialists have created the innovative Signal Pod Wireless LED Bike Turn Signal System.
This great bit of gear could help to reduce the amount of accidents on the road, and also save lives.

The pod contains a huge flashing signalling unit which mounts to the bicycles rear seat post, behind the cyclist.
Then, a three-button wireless remote control attaches comfortably to the side of the handlebars for easy access, and you'll be happy to know that it couldn't be easier to use.
Push the remote's left-hand button to trigger the bright red LED's arranged in a double arrow formation on the left hand side of the pod, this will clearly signal your intentions to the driver behind you. The same process applies for turning right, except you'd push the button on the right-hand side of the unit.
Also, there's a button between the to remotes which when pressed activates a triangular hazard light on the pod. As an extra heads up, the pod creates a clear beeping sound to accompany the already visual indicators as an extra heads up.
Both units are also rainproof, as they're encased securely in water-resistant plastic housings, and the remote includes the appropriate battery for when it needs replacing.
The pod is powered by three AAA batteries, and replaceable's are also included within the package. Plus, all of the easy-to-assemble mounting hardware is also included as part of the bundle, of which is fairly priced in my opinion at less than $50.
