Meet Zainab Abbas. She's a Pakistani sports journalist, currently in England to cover the ICC Champions Trophy.
This is a selfie Abbas took with AB de Villiers – the world's top-ranked ODI batsman – the day of his game with Pakistan on June 7.
In a freak coincidence, de Villiers ended up getting out for a golden duck – his FIRST in a 12-year-long career.
Also from the tournament is this selfie of Abbas and Virat Kohli, arguably the greatest batsman of our generation.
Last night, much like de Villiers, Kohli too got out for a duck – his first in three years.
...
The freak coincidence hasn't gone unnoticed, as thousands of people are now properly getting into the curse of Abbas' selfies.
Fans are now sending her requests to take selfies with players of rival teams.
Asking her to stay the hell away from their own batsmen...
And fellow journalists are calling for a ban on her coming to sports venues.
However, as much as everyone else is into this conspiracy, it is Abbas herself who is adding the most fuel to the fire, by happily retweeting every selfie request she gets.
She's also been threatening to go after other teams with her cursed camera.
She hasn't posted any other cricketer selfies yet, but you can be sure everyone will have their eyes on her feed for the rest of the tournament now.
You can track Abbas' now (urban) legendary photostream on Twitter and Facebook.
