This Guy Eats Biryani With Ketchup And Mayo; Twitter Is Shook And FAIR ENOUGH

This is what haraam looks like.

The humble biryani is one of the desi world's most universally beloved dishes. You'd be hard pressed to find a friend who says no if you offer them a plate.

It's a dish so utterly perfect, it's almost impossible to make it unappealing.

    *Almost*

Meet Ali San โ€“ London resident, student, and destroyer of all that is good and holy in this world.

Over this past weekend, Ali unleashed all sorts of hell when he tweeted a photo of what he called the "best way to eat biryani" โ€“ with ketchup and mayo!

Best way to eat biriyani is with ketchup and mayo ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

*Prays to gods of all religions to help unsee this*

Little did Ali know what he had triggered, as food lovers from across the globe united to condemn the sacrilege.

In fact, his tweet even got people from countries with iffy relations to come together and admonish him.

There were calls for Ali to delete his account.

@TheSanPlanet best way to delete your Twitter ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

There were reminders sent about online abuse policies.

@TheSanPlanet Uploading and sharing of blasphemous content on internet is a punishable offence.

    And there was sass...

@TheSanPlanet Biryani with ketchup and mayo๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ

    So much sass.

I tell you, dear reader, I was convinced that Ali was just trolling his followers when he tweeted that awful tweet. No way he was being serious, right?

But upon asking for confirmation, I realised that he was, indeed, way serious.

"The reaction was unexpected. It got like 5,00,000 tweet impressions. Because I actually eat biryani like this, I was shocked people were so against it," Ali told BuzzFeed.

"To be honest, even at weddings, I always ask for mayo and ketchup, but the waiters always give me weird looks."

Ali is a pretty chill guy other than this one nonsense, and he did try to convince everyone that there were others like him out there...

But it was all in vain.

    @FatimaHaitch @TypicalSaleh @ra_neem_ @Leilaabooo @Mustidc ITS FINE Y'ALL, WHITE PEOPLE WILL ACCEPT ME

"Through education, hopefully more people will become open minded to the notion of ketchup and mayo with biryani, and maybe one day try it for themselves ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚," he added.

You'd think that was the worst of it, but I also found out that he likes pineapple on pizza.
