You Totally Forgot About These Teen Sitcoms From The '00s And It Shows

He doesn't have a belly button...or any memory of who he is or where he came from. In the series premiere, he wakes up alone and naked in a field near Seattle, and the psychologist assigned to his case eventually becomes his foster mother. She brings him into her family, which is basically what happens in _The OC_, except Ryan has a belly button.

And you totally had a crush on Matt Dallas (Kyle). _Kyle XY_ aired on ABC Family (now Freeform) from 2006-2009.

Can you remember the title of this show?

This show was basically a super-dramatic L.L. Bean ad, and it seemed like every episode ended with some kind of crazy cliffhanger but eventually circled back to a wholesome life lesson. In 2003, the Parents Television Council named it the "worst network TV show for family viewing," alleging that the show promoted "reckless messages about sex." Just wait until you see _Gossip Girl_, Parents Television Council.

How could you forget Gregory Smith (of DCOM fame) as Ephram?? _Everwood_ aired from 2002-2006.

After her father transfers to a job in Japan, she is forced to move in with her older sister, Valerie (Jennie Garth), who lives in NYC. Valerie, a type-A twenty-something, lives BY HERSELF in an apartment on the UPPER WEST SIDE (token '00s surrealism) until her impulsive, scatterbrained sister joins her.

The '00s were good to Amanda Bynes, as evidenced by her tenure on this show, which ran from 2002-2006.

Lucy Hale starred in this sitcom about two spoiled teenage sisters and their 23-year-old, Yale-educated tutor, Megan Smith (JoAnna Garcia). Set in Palm Springs, Florida, this show follows Megan as she struggles to control her two pupils while simultaneously working towards her dream of becoming a famous writer.

Before she was Aria on _Pretty Little Liars_, Lucy Hale was the star of this one-season sitcom.

Spiritual mania ensues when this small town is threatened with what they consider to be "Judgment Day." Residents quit their jobs or otherwise cross off items on their bucket lists. Here's where it gets weird: a family moves into a Yurt; Lydia (Teresa Celentano) accidentally burns down her school and is henceforth known as a mystical "fire starter"; and a twenty-nine-year-old computer analyst falls in love with her sixteen-year-old neighbor, mistaking him for an MIT undergrad.

This short-lived science fiction comedy was cancelled after only 8 episodes due to low ratings in 2006.

How could you forget the two-season sitcom starring Jesse McCartney, Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky from Full House) AND Zac Efron?? Loughlin plays fashion designer Ava Gregory, a 30-something who has a pretty cool life in a fictional California coastal town until her life is upended by the tragic death of her sister and brother-in-law. Accordingly, she is charged with taking care of her nieces and nephews, who move to California to live with her.

Unlike most primetime dramas, this series aired during the summer. It premiered in summer 2004 and ended in July 2005.

The Olsen twins starred as Malibu teens Chloe and Riley in this short-lived sitcom. The show followed the sisters' day-to-day teenage lives, from boys, to after-school jobs, to friends and family problems.

This comedy only made it one season before being cancelled in 2002.

What about this Mary Kate and Ashley show?

Inspired by real-life stories from real teenage EMT staff (we're talking high school kids, here) in Darien, Connecticut, the show was infused with a double dose of cliffhangers. Not only did these teens have to navigate puberty and high school, they were also tasked with GETTING SICK AND INJURED PEOPLE TO SAFETY. Just your typical adolescent drama, nbd.

From 2000-2001, this was Disney Channel's answer to the primetime network's after-school special. _In a Heartbeat_ stars Shawn Ashmore, who is most famous for his role as Iceman in the X-Men films. He was also in the iconic DCOM _Cadet Kelly_ alongside Hilary Duff.

Before she became Chanel Oberlin and our favorite witch in American Horror Story, Emma Roberts starred as a musical teen in this sitcom. With her guitar in hand, she navigates the complicated world of crushes and middle-school dilemmas.

_Unfabulous_ was part of Nickelodeon's TeenNick lineup--alongside _Zooey 101_ and _Romeo!_--from 2004-2007.

This sports-themed sitcom followed four friends who magically transported themselves inside the bodies of professional athletes?? Tbh that sounds really stressful and scary but apparently these teens were pretty into it.
