This week, Kendall Jenner did a cover story with the Wall Street Journal called, "How Kendall Jenner Wants to Ditch the Nepo Baby Playbook," where she tried to distance herself from being a nepo baby, and essentially, a Kardashian.
She said she was uncomfortable with fame, not "good" at it, and shared that, ultimately, she doesn't feel like a "Kardashian."
"I understand that I fall under the umbrella of the Kardashian sisters. It's just weird to me because I am just like my dad in so many ways," she said.
"I considered myself one of the luckiest people on the planet to be able to live the life that I live," she said. "But I do think that it's challenging for me a lot more than it's not."
For whatever reason, her quotes didn't exactly land well with people.
One person's viral tweet pointed out how ironic it looked with her quote and the tank top price next to it.
People also called out how Kendall kiiiiiinda does this thing where she pretends she didn't benefit from her famous, privileged, well-connected family — despite there being literal footage of her famous, rich mom calling Wilhelmina Models and getting her the gig.
In this clip, Kris said, "Guess who just called me? Wilhelmina modeling agency. I've spent the last two days calling everyone I know making sure I can set Kendall up with the best modeling agency possible. This is actually a really big deal. I'm so surprised this is happening so fast for her."
Ahhh, to be rich and out of touch. God love them.
Kendall hasn't responded to the backlash, but we'll update you if she does.
