Perry Santanachote, the evil genius that made this Franken-sandwich, told BuzzFeed her main inspiration was nostalgia.
"Tater tots are one of my favorites — always have been — but I haven't actually had them in a long time," she said. "I decided to play around. So many of my food creations result from doing stupid things in the kitchen."

Santanachote said, that while the recipe looks pretty involved, it wasn't too hard to put together. She said it's actually probably a perfect food to make when you're really drunk.
"You could be completely inebriated and still pull this off," she said. "Maybe it won't look as good as the picture, but it'll still taste just as good."

But does it taste as good as it looks?! That's the real question here. Santanachote said it ended up tasting exactly as good as it sounds.
"I've tested this sandwich on a variety of people, including my bros at work, a pregnant woman, health fiends, and even an odd little boy who hates both grilled cheese and tater tots," she said. "Every one of them just freaked out."
She said the real secret to getting it the sandwich to work is the waffle iron. Without that you won't have a crispy crust with a fluffy inside.
