Your collection starts the minute you step foot on campus! During your first week at Ryerson you will have the chance to win all kinds of swag from hats and t-shirts, to water bottles and planners. But Ryerson is pretty awesome so why not show off your Ryerson pride. GO RAMS!

When you are running late and you can not seem to go any faster

You only have 10 minutes in between classes and you have to get from the Engineering building to the Ted Rogers School so walk as fast as you can! And trust me, those are the days that everyone around you seems to be moving just as slowly! Make sure you wear your running shoes that day or else you will end up feeling like the slug monster student and miss all your classes! But don’t worry; by the end of the semester you’ll be a pro at swerving around pedestrians in the streets of Toronto.

When you regret taking that 8am class

Yes I said it 8 am classes! You may have thought that taking an 8am class was a good idea, but sadly, as I’ve learned, you will regret that decision very quickly. Despite having the rest of the day off, you end up either feeling extremely tired and unmotivated to do any work OR you end up taking a nap for 4 hours and wasting your day away. If you can, try to take a 9am or 10am class!

Walking into class and trying not to get noticed

Everyone has those days when you are running late to class and you dread walking into the room knowing everyone will look up from whatever they’re doing. We all hate that feeling when it seems like the whole room is staring into your soul! But maybe if you tip toe like the monsters your professor and classmates won’t notice you!

When Thursday nights are more fun than Fridays

Ryerson’s incoming students will soon come to find that the majority of our pub events happen on Thursday nights. Ryerson has their very own pub called the Ram in the Rye who host Monday night trivia, black light parties, open mic nights etc. It is also just an awesome place to chill with some friends, play some pool and de-stress after a long week of classes and assignments.

To conclude, like at Monsters University you will find your forever friends at Ryerson. You will meet the most amazing people that will stick by you through the all-nighters, tough professors, and bad grades. And of course they will be the ones you make lifelong memories with!
