A Teen Faces Jail After Police Found A Photo Of Him Simulating Oral Sex With A Jesus Statue On Facebook

The 14 year old teen from Everett, Pennsylvania, could face two years in juvenile detention.

State Police officials have arrested a Pennsylvania teenager for "desecration of a venerated object" after he posed for photos of his stimulating oral sex with a statue of Jesus.

The 14-year-old teen, who has not been named by police, took the photos at a statue located outside Love In the Name of Christ, a local Christian organisation.

Pennsylvania State Police told the Mail Online that that the district attorney's office discovered the photo and filed charges.

The teen could face two years in juvenile detention as a result of a state law.

The rarely-used law, that was passed in 1972, criminalises "defacing, damaging, polluting or otherwise physically mistreating in a way that the actor knows will outrage the sensibilities of persons likely to observe or discover the action."

Here's what the police report looked like:

People commenting on the Bedford County Free Press Facebook page - which shared the photos and police statement - were less than impressed.

A spokesperson for the Christian charity Love in the Name of Christ, Bev Patten, told the MailOnline that they did not press charges against the boy. Patten says: "Our request was for prayer for the young man."
