What is your favorite (mythical) creature?

This movie has all the characteristics of a fabulous OG Barbie movie: it is based on a well-known fairytale, has an extremely lovable side-character, and it has stunning animation. It actually won a bunch of awards for its score and for the animation of Mother Gothel, so it is definitely a worthy option for a Barbie movie night. Rapunzel's paintings from the movie are actually real art works digitally inserted into the film, which is bloody brilliant considering that it was produced in 2001.

This is the best movie in the Barbie cinematic universe IMO. Not only does it have stunning transitions, amazing original songs, and a cute storyline, but it also has the best villain in Barbie movie history. Preminger's character alone makes watching this movie worthwhile.

_Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper_

All for one and one for all! This Barbie-fied version of the classic story by Alexandre Dumas is pretty neat. It is full of puns and references to sixteenth-century France. The storyline centers around the power of female friendship, which is pretty neat. I am still not sure what to think of prince Louis though.

_Barbie and the Three Musketeers_

This is a fantastic story for everyone who loves their siblings, ballet, and classic Barbie animation. The movie is likable, because of the comic relief provided by a talking parrot and all of the Barbie sisters seem to be strong female characters with their own personalities.

_Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses_

Another excellent Barbie musical! The songs can get stuck in your head for quite a bit, and the animation lives up to Barbie standards. It contains important lessons about friendship, and twins Ian and Jeremy make for likable side characters.

_Barbie and the Diamond Castle_

I have nothing to say about this movie except that Bibble is a god-tier sidekick. Top 5 Barbie movie, easily.

_Barbie Fairytopia_

This movie is the Barbie renaissance. Even though it has the new animation style, it is very much beloved by old and new BCU fans alike. The opening song is absolutely fabulous, the movie successfully discusses social classes and gentrification, and it has one of the best redemption arcs in Barbie history.

_Barbie: Princess Charm School_

This movie is basically a mermaid version of _The Princess Diaries_. If you are into underwater fashion, mermaids, or surfing this movie is for you. And if you are into this, there are like a million other sea-themed Barbie movies to watch (_Dolphin Magic_ is another great option)!
