Police Have Closed A Rubbish Tip After A Man In A Digger Went On A "Rampage" In West Yorkshire

    An unnamed man in a digger has caused massive damage to the Todmorden Household Waste Recycling Centre in Calderdale, forcing it to close.

    This morning, West Yorkshire Police tweeted this photograph of a yellow digger with smoke billowing out of it, surrounded by felled fences, dented signs and other damage.

    The man, who is also thought to have set fire to one of the offices at the rubbish tip, is now believed to be in police custody.
