Response to A Thoughtful Message To The Grammar Police:
To all the people here that keep talking about the “decline” of the English Language: What do you think happened to Old English and Middle English or the Proto-Germanic Language it spun off from? It is an irrefutable fact that language changes. So yes, it can appearabit lazy but one has to keep in mind that most “standards” of English are not inherent to the language itself. Ex. “Never endasentence withapreposition”, this rule is incredibly idiotic. Grammarians in the 18th and 19th century wanted English to more reflect Latin, which it doesn’t need to. Latin can’t endasentence withapreposition because of the way its syntax is structured. English can, and the sentence is still 100% understandable.
