3 BEST DESTINATIONS FOR YOUR NEXT GIRLS SKI TRIP

Ski trips aren't just for guys, here are the top three ski areas for you and your friends to consider when planning your next girls ski trip.

    1.

    Jackson Hole, WY

SKI: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Do this: take the tram all the way up to Rendezvous Bowl. It's the fastest way to the top of the mountain and on the way you can watch the crazies dive off the famed Corbet's Couloir (try it if you dare!). Rendezvous Bowl offers great skiing for almost every level of expertise and the view is endless.

STAY: Hotel Terra. Lodging with a bit of western, but contemporary and elegant too. They have two and three-bedroom suites, perfect for your group. It's nestled in the heart of Teton Village, with shopping, skiing and wining/dining just steps away from your door. While you're there, partake of the services at Hotel Terra's Chill Spa—maybe a detox organic blueberry body wrap, followed by a soak in their roof top hot tub while you enjoy stunning views of the Tetons.

PLAY: après-ski at the Mangy Moose Saloon, right there in Teton Village. A Jackson Hole landmark, the Mangy Moose was named "One of the 10 hottest après-ski bars in the world" by Forbes Traveler.

DINE: Couloir Restaurant. Take an evening gondola ride—with warmed blankets even—to the Rendezvous Lodge at the summit of the Bridger Gondola. Then join Chef's Table (reservations for parties up to six) at the Couloir Restaurant (winner of multiple Wine Spectator Awards). Imagine: a four-course menu—at 9,095 feet!

    2.

    Whistler Blackcomb, BC, Canada

SKI: Whistler Blackcomb. It's double the fun here, because it's double the mountains. These side-by-side mountains combine to offer 200+ marked runs with 16 alpine bowls and 3 glaciers. Throw in one of the longest ski seasons in North America, Canadian niceness, and international flavor. The Peak 2 Peak Gondola moves you from the tops of Whistler to Blackcomb and back; the highest and longest unsupported cable car span in the world. Make sure to go to Harmony Zone on Whistler Mountain—it's massive and open, with epic powder.

STAY: Sundial Boutique Hotel in the heart of Whistler Village and only a 3-minute walk to the lifts. The Sundial has one and two-bedroom suites with amenities that range from in-room hot tubs to gourmet kitchens to gas fireplaces.

PLAY: après-ski suggestion: first go skating at the free outdoor rink on Whistler Olympic Plaza. Then mosey over to the Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar and Grill to sip something warm and watch the skiers cruise down Whistler Mountain.

DINE: Rim Rock Café and Oyster Bar. Winner of the Trip Advisor Traveler's Choice Award. On the menu: Pacific Northwest seafood, and wild game such as caribou and venison. All with excellent service in an atmosphere of mountain comfort.

    3.

    Steamboat Springs, CO

SKI: Steamboat Resort. With an average snowfall accumulation of 349 inches, Steamboat has legendary Champagne Powder, renowned glade skiing and an easy-going cowboy vibe. For a crowd-free run, take the Storm Peak express lift to the top, then take the Morning Side run, which has beautiful snow and is good for all levels.

STAY: Highmark Steamboat Springs. A condo for your group with all the luxury of a boutique hotel, the Highmark is walking distance from everything you need: dining, shopping and slopes.

PLAY: T Bar. Touted as the "Best 5 Star Dive in Steamboat Springs" and popular with visitors and locals alike, the T Bar has an eclectic menu (crawfish Mac-N-Cheese; pork belly BLT) and a warm and lively atmosphere.

DINE: Four Points Lodge, Snowcat Dinner. Imagine you and your girlfriends tucked into a comfy snowcat and whisked up the mountain to Storm Peak, followed by a five-course feast created in the traditions of Northern Italy.

Oh, one last detail: the ski/snowboarding equipment. You don't want to have to drag your gear along (have you checked the airline baggage fees lately?) and you sure don't want to waste any of your precious vacation time standing in slope-side rental shop lines. With Outdoors.io you reserve your equipment online and then it's delivered to your hotel or condo. The delivery team fits the equipment to each skier/snowboarder right there and if you have any equipment issues when you're on the mountain, they'll come to your aid. And when it's time to leave, they come to you, scoop everything up and take it away. It couldn't be easier and it costs about the same as a slope-side rental shop. Visit www.outdoors.io to book your gear in a few steps.
