7 Burgers For People Who DONT LIVE IN LONDON

Dear world, please take note. Not everyone lives in London. Here's my favourite non-London based burgers and some home made burger porn! Happy #NationalBurgerDay 27th August 2015

Steak and Honour - Travelling About

What's in it: Local Riverside chuck, minced daily, brioche bun made by a local artisan baker, fresh garnish of gherkin, onion & lettuce, finished off with the classic American combination of French's mustard and Heinz Tommy K.

Sides: Home made slaw Price: Got this one free!

What I ate it with: A cup of tea

He only does one thing, but he does it well. This guy drives around in an old citron van making great food and selling it to the locals. He came and parked up outside work once for a staff lunch and the fact it was free, made it taste even better!

    Smokeworks, Cambridge

What's in it: 14 Hour Smoked, Pulled Beef, BBQ Mayo, Slaw

    Sides: Skinny Fries

    Price: £14.00 What

I ate it with: Sheppys Cider

This place is a new hidden gem in Cambridge, created by the guys from cambcuisine, they've got the smoked and pulled fashion down to a tee. The food here was epic and huge! If you've read my last review, you already know that.

    The Orange Tree, Thornham

What's in it: Smoked onion and pepper dew relish, onion rings, bucket of chips and creamy thyme and onion coleslaw.

Sides: Bucket of chips Price: £14.10

What I ate it with: A Kopparberg mixed fruits cider.

A sunny lunchtime with a cold cider by the beach. The orange tree was great and so was the food, I have to say the buns were a bit fall-aparty but all in all a cracking burger especially for such an isolated location.

The Market Bistro Burger, King’s Lynn

What's in it: red poll beef, cheese, bacon jam, spiced ketchup, skinny fries, slaw

    Sides: Chunky Chips, Dressed salad.

    Price: £11.50

What I ate it with: A large glass of NZ Sauvignon

What they don't tell you is that this is one of the most delicious bundles of heaven you will ever taste, succulent and the bun was so soft it melted away. This place is a hidden treasure!

    Bayger – Byron Bay

    Bayger – Byron Bay

What's in it: Prime beef, crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese, salad and home-made Bayger sauce.

    Sides: Skinny fries

    Price: $16.90 / £9.50

I ate it with: A gigantic bottle of water.

This was the perfect post surf food, climbed out the sea having been smashed around headed here and took it back to the hostel to eat in peace, it was delicious, made a massive mess and was big enough to fill a surf sized hole!

    The Bedingfield Arms, Oxborough

What's in it: Locally sourced Venison Burger with Binham Blue Cheese, Tomato and Chilli Chutney

    Sides: Salad and chunky chips

    Price: £13

I ate it with: Even more wine

Couldn't find a picture of this one because I always eat it as soon as I'm in there. Imagine an old stype country pub with amazing food and men in tweed!

Hard Rock Cafe – New York

What's in it: Half-pound Angus burger topped with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, golden fried onion ring, crisp lettuce and vine ripened tomato in a brioche bun.

    Sides: Seasoned Fries

Price: I have no idea! $20 maybe?

I ate it with: A large coke

Condsidering it'sa called the legend burger and it's in New York I expected it to be bigger and a little tastier, but this has made it into my top ten because of the atmosphere I ate it in, the Hard Rock is one cool cat!

And heres some home made burger-porn....

Gobble Gobble! Chorizo and cheese stuffed turkey burger.

The Wilderness burger, steak mince patty, topped with fresh picked puff ball mushrooms, olives and garden salad!

Baked (for a super juicy finish) beef pattie topped with bacon and applewood smoked cheddar.

The All In - beef patty topped with slow cook pulled pork, gherkins, colslaw, mature cheddar cheese and smokey bacon with cajun spiced fries a side of sour cream garlic sauce and a bottle of bourbon beer!
