What Makes a Good Blog?!?!?

I'm a grad student at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, and I'm trying to figure out what makes a blog "good", and thought the buzzfeed community would be a great place to get some thoughts! Technorati said there are something like 175,000 new blogs every day, and the more stuff we have to sift through as users to find what we want, the more sophisticated our criteria for "relevance" have to be. I guess that's why sites like buzzfeed are so popular/important.
