Slipped disks, bulging disks, these manifest as sudden and paralyzing pain.
One of the SAFEST things you can do is acupuncture for this. It's gentle and does not force your back in any form to move in ways that could make things worse. It works on the soft tissue around the disk to relax and ease the pain. I've had people get off the table with anywhere between 15-90% less pain with range of motion restored as well.
3. Sciatica
This one can confuse people. The sciatic nerve is a large, thick nerve. It comes from the lower back and heads through the glutes, descending the back of the leg down to the heal. Tight glutes are often the cause, clamping down on the nerve- and this can be from a bad choice in footwear, over doing a run or hike, a discrepancy in leg length etc. There are many reasons for sciatica and acupuncture can ease the pain in 1-3 treatments.
