Notre Dame Surprises Uniform Model With Football Scholarship

    A real life Rudy story.

Josh Anderson is a fifth year senior who is a walk-on running back for the University of Notre Dame, and also models the team's uniforms.

Essentially a "walk-on" is a player that tried out for the team upon gaining admission to the school, without any prior scholarship/ recruiting offers from the school.

On Thursday morning, Josh was asked to model the new Shamrock Series uniform for his teammates.

After the unveiling, head coach Brian Kelly explained that Josh "models a lot of things that are right with Notre Dame football" and announced that he would be awarded with a scholarship.

The best part of all was seeing how excited Josh's teammates were for him.

Coach Brian Kelly explained why Josh was so deserving of the scholarship.

"Josh Anderson is a senior for us that has done everything we've asked over the last five years. He's taken more hits than any one of our backs. He's a scout-team player. He's done everything. He's a great student. Well-respected by all of his teammates and we had an available scholarship and as a senior he deserved it."

Now that's the real definition of team work.
