10 Signs You Spent Too Much Time On Forums Growing Up

Do you dream in quote towers? Refuse to move on from BBCode? Randomly jump in on conversations that don't concern you? There's a chance you spent too many of your formative years in online forums.

You refer to your social media profile picture as your "avatar".

Your face is incapable of making an expression that isn't one of these:

On long car journeys, instead of I-Spy you play 'Corrupt My Wish' and 'The Insertion Game'.

You're in the habit of listening on the edges of random strangers' conversations and then jumping in to give your opinion.

Secure messaging apps and encryption are all very well, but the only true way to talk privately is in a protected subforum.

You firmly believe that anyone who knows CSS is a coding god.

Also, you still mentally replace all the <>s in HTML with []s.

You mentally classify your friends as "illiterate", "semi-literate", "literate" and "advanced literate".

Comment sections are all right, but what every website really needs is a Cbox at the bottom.

tl;dr they don't make web discussions like they used to.
