In this geeky retelling of Cinderella (and bookish equivalent of wrapping yourself in a blanket and drinking hot cocoa), Elle Wittmer is determined to win the cosplay contest for a new Starfield movie. After all, she grew up watching the classic series with her late father, and the prize for the contest is meeting Darien Freeman, the actor playing Prince Carmindor in the reboot. For Darien, Carmindor is the role of a lifetime, but the fandom sees him as just a heartthrob and has written him off already. When the two collide at Excelsicon, nothing will ever be the same.
