Bojack Horseman Is The Quick Fix To Your Binge Watching Addiction.

Because I know you're itching for that next hit

It's a show about a horse who's a man, or maybe more man who's a horse. This show is not one you should watch and then keep questioning. Just, as a viewer, be okay with everything that is happening because this is a fictional cartoon, it has the right to be whatever it is because that's how stories are utilized for your entertainment.

This is a world where human beings and animal people cohabit. If you want to make up a story in your head where some kind of chemical was released from area 51 turned half of the human race on earth to mutate with the animals and then create a species with the exact intelligence and body of a human, but have the head and idiosyncrasies of an animal, then so be it (because that's what I did).

So is the scene set enough? Good. Meet BoJack, a former 90's sitcom actor who plays the father in a very popular family show (think full house with a Cosby sweater and almost every family situation comedy.) Now, it's supposedly the present and BoJack is clinging onto his past, with cynical humor to set the tone. I won't go in depth about the storyline because that's for you to see with an open mind and your willingness to observe it from a non-biased perspective. The humor is a mix of what I'd see on any of Seth Mcfarlanes' shows, Rick and Morty, Daria, Archer, and possibly reminiscent of the whole 90's decade itself. There are clever references from movies and shows that a lot of us have grown up with (The scene with Vincent Adultman, which looks like the three kids pretending to be an adult in the Little Rascals).

There is also a romance element to the show, where BoJack meets someone who he feels changes him for the better as well. The celebrity cast is huge, both the voice over actors and the ones that are referenced in the show. His freeloader friend Todd is Aaron Paul and Alison Brie plays a Vietnamese girl with the greatest Boston assimilated family. If you're itching for a new binge-worthy show, start watching BoJack Horseman, you know it won't take you too long. It's one season. If you're looking for a temporary fix on binge watching, this show might as well be that quick bump to keep you going. So get to it, enjoy the show, and get ready to be singing the ending credits song on a regular basis.
