The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has informed us that it will soon release nationwide standards that classifies undocumented immigrants according to risk. Word is that it would help in the grant of prosecutorial discretion. Thus far, ICE has closed 1,500 out of 350,000 cases under its prosecutorial discretion policy, which is only 1% of cases in removal proceedings, so they need to construct a better system to grant more cases. The “risk assessment” may look something like the chart here.
