Pune's Late Night Food

From India's retirement city to the Oxford of the East, Pune has transformed unconditionally from the 1980s. With an influx of universities and IT parks the need for food after hours has skyrocketed. Let us explore some of these eateries.

Amruteshwar, Nal Stop

Serves warm pohe, idli, sabudana khicadi, sheera and masala chai at around 3 a.m. The flavors of these authentic Marathi dishes are top class and the hot chai seasoned with cardamom and cinnamon only adds to the toothsome.

On an average, there are always around 50-75 people gathered around this eatery.

Comesum, Pune Station.

Open 24 hours, this restaurant is located on Platform No. 1 of the train station. Known for North/South Indian breakfast dishes, sandwiches, tea and Nescafe.

Great place if you like the idea of watching trains chugging in and out while enjoying a hot cup of coffee.

Cafe Cofee Day, Chandni Chowk

Cafe Coffee Day is India's flagship coffee chain, it has over 1600 stores across India. This is the only outlet which is open 24 hours in Pune. If you want a nice cup of Cappuccino or Latte with a chocolate lava cake as a side, this will be your best bet.

Chowpati, Deccan

If you go further towards the Mula Mutha river from the Deccan Gymkhana bus stand and turn right- (next to Rambo Circus/Manoranjan Nagri) there are 10-12 Chowpati shops which serve Pavbhaji, Bombay Sandwiches, Panipuri/Bhel all through the night.

Anda Bhurji Stalls, Pune Station

Outside Platform No. 1, there are several egg bhurji stalls which begin serving post 1 a.m. until the crack of dawn. You can expect the bhurji to be mouth-watering accompanied by buttery pav and the good ol' tomato sauce.

Shacks on Sands, Lavale

If you are up for a great long drive, some quality food and an incredible ambience- Shacks on Sands is the place for you. Located on the foothills of the Symbiosis campus, this restaurant is among the best decorated in the city. With beach sand, an isolated table and David Guetta music, you can't go wrong with this one.

Open until 2 a.m. and longer if you request.

Skygarage, Aundh

Skygarage Aundh, is open till 3 a.m. Their Tandoori Chicken is among the most talked about dishes on the menu. Don't be surprised if you are awestruck by the view of the city from up here. Great place for clicking solid instagram posts.

Arizona Restaurant, Ghole Road

Open till 5 a.m. with an option for home delivery. Serves Cheese, Masala, Cream of Onion, Plain, Organic, Corn Cheese, Schezwan Maggi.
