On the occasion of the Vietnam Enterpreneurs'
Day on 13-10-2015 I have a few thoughts to
share with our country's entrepreneurs and the
world business community in general.
I started the business concept about the serving
to society. It also does not fall outside my
personal and my family's interests.
Enthusiasm, commitment and desire to become
rich with a roadmap, short-term and long-term
plans. I also outlined my steps in life with
specific goals.
Really, which job can have more collisions,
more challenges than business
enterpreneurship. I even see that business risks
are the most difficult of all other professions.
My friends and relatives are also telling me I'd
better choose another way to get rich. And the
simplest way is to make money, to speculate.
For a person who has profession, skills,
overcomes difficulties in society it is not
difficult then to make money! But it's not easy
to be an authentic businessman when the
market is set orienting for the good of a group
of leaders.
But there comes a day, and everything seems
to be changed from up to down. In business,
the methods of elimination, of optimal choice
are still standing in front of any administrator
or manager for choice. Relatively good profit
or optimal profit. Of course, everyone wants to
choose the best. This easily leads to a cool
indifference pushing back all the other things
aside. This just is a cover to lie to oneself for
reaching a short-term goal.
I see that the picture of "profit" is not beautiful
and not bringing image of pure any more.
Behind it, inside it, there are too many other
vulnerable things.
Truly, in the modern economy basing on
programming it is hard to find real profit. It
shows that people are making big mistake
when build a virtual economy. The greedy and
pursuit of profit generated more false needs
than real ones. Under the cheers of media, the
economy became a cannibal machine.
Does an IPHONE make you really happy? Or
it just satisfies any temporary values? One can't
deny the positive contribution of Steve Jobs or
Apple into technologic community. The
spiritual values or the best virtues of Steve Jobs
are the example for so many young people. But
just ask yourselves, did the life of Steve really
make a meaningful contribution into
community's happiness or not? Or did Steve
Jobs just create false needs? Youth wastes a lot
of money into Iphone, someones even change
their virginity to have it.
Tim Barners Lee invented the Hypertext
Protocol making background for the
development of internet. Perhaps he'd better
register an ownership patent to earn more
money. Instead, he chose free sharing for a
faster development of the network community.
But Tim also did not prevent his kid from
growing so fast.
And then, the Internet killed so many human
values and created more opportunities for
social vices. People became dependent, lazy
and foolish with internet. And if it goes on like
this, may be men will be nothing but mobile
apparatus.
I am really afraid and cautious in all my
business activities. I don't see any fun when I
get profit but detriment or counteract some
other things.
In 2010, I decreased business activities at the
Titan Corporation and found ways to buy back
the shareholders' shares to take full control. I
think this is the only way to drive myself and
to bring the company along the road safely
avoiding any harm to other things. I also
stopped the work to look around and to choose
my next job for the rest of my life. Which job
can bring sustainable values without doing
doing any harm to the values of society. I
decided to choose the Happybank project for
the rest of my life.
I decided to take the whole family to Saigon to
embark on the project of education and training
courses of happiness management for
community. This became an engine urging me
to stick to work together with my team in a
state of happiness.
I think we can also arrange priorities in our
lives. What should we do before and what do
we do after and we can also choose the most
meaningful work to do.
On the Enterpreneurs' Day 13-10 I wish the
Vietnam business community a sustainable
development and a lot of real values to
contribute to the community.
