Fun Summer Trend: U.S. Teens Used for Smuggling Narcotics - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested five teens within 24 hours last week for the attempted smuggling of narcotics strapped to their torsos and legs. During the five smuggling attempts last Thursday and Friday at the San Ysidro and Calexico ports of entry, officers seized almost 17 pounds of marijuana and a little more than a pound of brown heroin, worth an estimated $38,000.
