What's Your Go-To Meal To Cook When You're So Burned Out That You Can Barely Even Take Care Of Yourself?

Your dish could help out a fellow struggling adult.

Look, why even bother being cute about it — life can be truly difficult sometimes. And when you're feeling burned out, cooking for yourself can feel like trying to scale Mount Everest, especially if you're already depressed.

That's why I want to hear from y'all: What's your go-to meal to cook when you're feeling depleted mentally, physically, or emotionally?

Maybe you like to start off with some scrambled eggs in your frying pan and throw in some tomatoes and spinach, or really whatever veggies you have hanging around in your fridge — a low-maintenance omelette.

Perhaps it's a simple spaghetti recipe that was passed down in the family. And even though there might be more steps than you'd ideally prefer, it's the right amount of prep to pull your focus without overwhelming you.

Do you like to keep it relatively simple and make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Or, if you want something easy but extra delicious, maybe you even grill it on a buttered skillet for some extra crisp?

Or maybe you like to just heat up some flour tortillas on a pan, spread butter on them, and dip them into some store-bought salsa before plopping down on the couch and turning on Amazon Prime to binge watch The Boys.

Share your go-to meal to prepare when you're too burned out to cook anything else in the comments below (or through this anonymous Google form if you'd like to be private), and you could be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post!

If you could please include a recipe if you're willing to and it's applicable, it'd be so helpful! And you can also upload a picture by clicking the 'picture' button in the comment field below.
