If There Were A Dating App For The Animal Kingdom

…it just might look like #AnimalLove. The search for a mate takes many forms in the animal world - if only they had technology to help!

1. The Blue-Footed Booby

During mating rituals, male Blue-Footed Boobies show off their feet to prospective mates with a high-stepping strut. The bluer the feet, the more attractive the mate.

2. Flamingo

To find that reliable partner, thousands of flamingos gather on Tanzania’s Lake Bogoria to dance. It is perhaps the largest gathering of courting couples in the animal world.

Ring-tailed male lemurs find a mate by outstinking each other, covering their long tails with aromatic secretions and waving them around to find out which animal is dominant.

A lone male wolf can risk his life by attempting to mate with a female part of a larger, possessive pack.

Love in the Animal Kingdom premieres Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 8/7c on NATURE on PBS.
