University Diversity Officer Charged Over "Menacing" Social Media Post
Bahar Mustafa, the welfare and diversity officer at Goldsmiths University in south London, will appear at Bromley magistrates' court on 5 November.
A student union diversity officer who used the hashtag #KillAllWhiteMen in a Facebook post has been charged with sending a malicious message and making a threat via social media.
The Metropolitan police said on Tuesday that Bahar Mustafa, 28, will appear at Bromley magistrates' court on 5 November.
Mustafa, from north London, is the welfare and diversity officer at Goldsmiths University student union in south London, and has been criticised via social media and in national media coverage for allegedly holding an anti-racism event where white men were asked not to attend.
A spokesperson for Goldsmiths University told BuzzFeed News that it would be "inappropriate" for the university to comment on an active police matter.
