Obama Goes On The Offensive During Four Local TV Interviews

The president slammed Republicans for the government shutdown in four television interviews conducted at the White House on Wednesday while defending the rollout of Obamacare, which has been plagued by technical problems.

President Obama told Washington's WRC that the perception federal workers are lazy contributed to the government shutdown.

He told Philadelphia's WPVI that he'll negotiate with Republicans to end the shutdown but not "with a gun pointed at the heads of the American people."

Obama refused to reassure Social Security recipients they will continue to receive benefits due to the debt ceiling fight, in an interview with Tampa’s WFLA.

And he defended the individual mandate in his health care law to Richmond's WTVR.
