In an airport, there’s always a long line somewhere. Whether you’re going to grab a coffee, use the restroom, check your bags or board your flight, expect an excruciating wait and a test of patience.

2. Ridiculous Prices

$6.95 for a muffin? Really? $25.00 for this paperback novel? Huh? You know you’d find these items for half the price in any other store, but there’s no getting around the fact that the worst place to be hungry or bored is in an airport, where you’ll be overcharged for purchases

every time.

3. Gross Food

Not only is airport food ridiculously expensive, but your options for a decent meal are often incredibly unappetizing. We’d like to pass on the greasy hamburger and fries, but when your options are fast food or a bag of airline pretzels, hungry fliers are left

with little choice.

4. Awkwardly standing or sitting to charge your phone or laptop

(And this is a nuisance you can only gripe about if you actually manage to find an available charging dock.) Why is it that EVERYBODY in an airport always needs to charge their devices at the same time?? We could do without the constant competition to find an outlet and the uncomfortable positions standing up or sitting against a wall that follow.

5. Security

We know they have an important job to do, but does going through security have to be so terrifying!? The chaos of removing coats, shoes, jewelry, following orders, having your passport and ticket at the ready and preparing for a potential pat down will have you breaking a swea tevery time.

Isn't it always the case that somewhere in an airport, you can find an unhappy and disruptive person? There’s nothing like listening to these incredibly loud and angry people as they attempt to convince the airline of its apparently heinous wrongdoings while you wait to board your flight.

Not only are airport bathrooms usually congested and crowded, with mirror space always dominated by those brushing their teeth or extensively “freshening up,” they’re often just plain gross. So I need to walk a mile down this hall, hop on a shuttle, ride an elevator, take an escalator, and jump on the next moving sidewalk to get to my terminal? Is this an airport or a metropolis?
