    Fear. Ghosts. Hairs rising at the back of your neck. What is it that turns you on when you hear about haunted places? Do you get that innate feeling that you want to check these places out for yourself? Some places are truly scary and unexplained incidents happen there all the time. Science had tried its best to explain them logically, but has failed many a time. Sometimes there are no rational explanations for incidents happening at certain places. Well, what do you think?     1. Bhangarh Fort - Alwar, Rajasthan

    3. The Three Kings Church, Goa

    A tale of treachery and debauchery; that's what the Three Kings Church in Goa is all about. It is believed that many years ago, three Portuguese kings ruled the areas nearby and they constantly fought with one another to gain an upper hand on a particular property and its church.

    Fed up of this constant fighting, one of the kings called the other two to resolve the issue. He gave them poison-laden lunch in the church and killed them. But his bad deed caught up to him and he committed suicide. Finally, all three kings were buried at the church. It is believed that the spirits of these kings roam the church after dark.

    GP Block of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh has plenty of paranormal activity going on regularly within its mysterious walls, especially, one house in particular. Witnesses have seen a girl dressed in red disappearing into the night and four men sitting around a candle and enjoying their drinks. Plenty of strange sightings and happenings have also been reported.

Thankfully, the ghost doesn't harm anyone, but if you are a security guard and you happen to doze off on your watch, then you are bound to be slapped on the face by, who else? - the ghost of Major Burton, of course.

    The ghosts of the Bengal swamps are of two minds. Sometimes they lead the fishermen out of danger zone and sometimes they confuse them by drawing them to drowning. But, one thing is for sure, fishermen in the area are attracted by unexplainable ghost lights.

    Whether these lights are formed by a combination of some gases or not, remains to be seen. Locals believe that these are lights are displayed by the ghosts of the fishermen who died fishing in the area.

    It is time to bid adieu, and we still have lots of haunted places uncovered. In fact, every village in India has a house, a tree or a well that is "haunted". Some are facts and some are just fantasies, with not a shred of truth in them, but falsely spread to keep away trespassers.

    But it is true that there are some disillusioned/depressed/vengeful souls that had had to leave their bodies and they are still waiting for – respite, relief, revenge. Well, whatever it is, we are sure you don't want to be there at the receiving end.
