1. Everyone has that one song that somehow impacted their life.
2. There is a sub-genre for almost every music taste. Really into Hip Hop? Trap. Love heavy metal? Dubstep. Classical? Ambient/trance. Avicii even went country…
3. Festivals: Three days of skin, glitter and dancing. And some other stuff…
4. Rave culture: You can hate on #PLUR all you want, you know your heart melts a little bit when someone gives you a kandi bracelet.
5. If you’re a guy, you frequently have excited, half naked girls run up to you to give you a bracelet while you pretend not to know about trading.
6. If you meet a new person and they mention anything EDM, you automatically have several (usually avoided) topics to talk about, and are automatically best friends.
7. The outfits that are acceptable at a rave/concert will not be anywhere else.
8. You know the event, artist, and song that got you into EDM. Can you name what got you into pop? Point proven.
9. The fact it’s not creepy as sh*t to ask the person next to you for a back massage.
10. Dancing/jumping/shuffling/hulu hooping to EDM is legit exercise - good for your health!
