If you and Ronald McDonald are close, then it's no secret that you've held a small grudge against him ever since he took Hi-C Orange out of your life.
Well, it's time to let the healing begin, because McDonald's is finally bringing back Hi-C Orange Lavaburst (aka Hi-C Orange) four years after it disappeared from the menu.
The drink first debuted in 1955, only to be replaced by Sprite TropicBerry soda in 2017. Needless to say, people were either in mourning or ready to throw hands.
But it's thanks to the most passionate of Hi-C fans (and multiple petitions, DMs, and tweets) that this liquid orange gold gets to live to see another day.
In a press release, McDonald's said, "The non-carbonated Hi-C Orange Lavaburst drink returns to menus alongside the carbonated Fanta Orange offering, making our legendary orange drink roster once again complete."
Hi-C Orange will be available in select locations this month, but will roll out nationwide by June. They've even created a tracker that'll go live on Feb. 15 if you feel like feverishly checking to see whether your local McDonald's is offering the drink anytime soon.
Needless to say, I'm sure there will be plenty of people checking that tracker, because fans are already rejoicing:
This, of course, comes shortly after McDonald's announced the limited return of Spicy McNuggets, so we'll see if the discontinued Snack Wraps are on the horizon. Something tells me McDonald's is game.
