1. It's happened to the best of us.
2. You're sitting/lying there, minding your business, when your furry friend thinks to themselves, You know what, I'm gonna trap my owner today.
3. So they crawl onto your lap/face/shoulder/anywhere they can, take in the warmth, and begin to doze off into what seems like the deepest sleep ever.
4. It's official — you're trapped now and there's nowhere you can go.
5. You never thought that this is how you would die, but you only hope that someone brings you snacks and water.
Here's a picture from the weekend when I was laying down and the dog fell asleep on me, pinning me there for about 20 minutes.
6. And you begin to hope you don't have to go to the bathroom anytime soon.
7. Waking them is simply not an option, so you roll with it and begin to power through the pain.
8. You hope this is just a short power nap, but half an hour passes and they're still asleep.
9. Your limb then begins to go numb from staying so still and you accept your new life as a dog bed.
10. Maybe this has been your life's purpose all along? Being a cat pillow isn't so bad, right?
11. If you're lucky, you'll have one free hand to document the evidence and call for help.
12. Is there a 911 for cute emergencies?
13. Other people will say "aww" to your pet when you share your photo and cry for help online.
14. But no one says "aww" for you, the victim.
My cat fell asleep on my face and is drooling on me...lol
15. Sleeping pets are simultaneously the cutest and deadliest thing to ever happen to pet owners.
16. I'm just here to say I stand with you and I'm here for you in your time of need.
17. I hope your pet has a real good sleep.
18. And I hope you're able to scratch that itch you've had for the past hour.
