5 Signs Of An Ill-Fitting Bra

Stop Hating Your Bra! Your probably wearing the wrong size, 70% of women still do!

Why women are wearing the wrong size...

A bra that fits can be life changing. However, more than 70% of women today are still buying the wrong size, even after being measured at a major lingerie chain or department store.

Without the assistance of a professional bra-specialist, many women don't know how a bra should fit or how often to be measured. Typically, you should be measured once a year to ensure that your size hasn't changed, and that you are wearing the right bras for your shape.

The 5 obvious (and not so obvious signs) that indicate that you are wearing the wrong size...

As a professional bra-fitter at Lucy's Boudoir, I've notice that women experience these signs before getting fitted in the proper bra size.

This list should help you determine if you are wearing the wrong size or need to be re-measured by a professional bra-fitter.

    1. # You wear bras on the tightest hook and you are constantly tightening your straps.

New bras should NOT fit on the tightest hook! If your band is rising up your back, you are wearing the wrong bra size.

    2. # When you lift up your arms, your bra shifts up and the bottom of your breasts falls out.

This is the most common sign we see when a woman is wearing a bra that is NOT EVEN CLOSE to her actual bra size.

    3. # The wires in your bra are poking you and it's painful.

Wires shouldn't dig in your breast tissue, they should surround your breasts! Say NO to side boob!

    4. # You are constantly slouching, and you have shoulder and back pain when you wear a bra.

Your bra should support you NOT weigh you down! Most of your support should be in your band NOT your straps!

    5. # There are bulges or gaps in the cup of your bra.

Your bra shouldn't give you the "double boob" or " hollow" look!

Do you have any of these signs?

Wearing the wrong size for a long period of time can be detrimental to a woman's confidence, posture, appearance, and overall well-being.

If you are experiencing any of these common symptoms, you may need to be professionally measured by a bra-specialist or a specialty bra-boutique near you.

You may also be a size that major lingerie chains or department stores don't carry. (Bra sizes don't stop at DDD, they go up to an O cup!)

I think I'm wearing the wrong size, what should I do?

You can find a bra-specialty boutique by searching on the web for "bra-fitting store near me". If you find a place, make sure to check out their reviews or call the business to ensure they have trained bra-fitting specialists.

Warning: Most department stores and big lingerie chains DO NOT have a bra-specialist in their lingerie department.
