1. Because it's a useless skill to have when you travel.
2. Being able to talk to more people from, like, other countries? No, thank you!
3. Because you'd have to start making ANOTHER set of weird noises with your mouth.
4. And, really, making up nonsense lyrics doesn't make you sound like an idiot.
5. Because playing guess-the-food roulette is always a good idea!
6. And it would kill the thrill of keeping up with subtitles.
7. Because it's an investment that wouldn't pay off.
8. And it's not like it would improve your health or anything.
9. It would do nothing for your love life, either.
10. Because you'd learn stuff about how another language works and that's not. fun. at. all.
11. You'd be exposed to the History and Culture of other people.
12. It's not like you'd start appreciating languages as a whole.
13. Ultimately, it would open up a whole new world to you and, let's be honest, you'd rather remain disconnected from it all.
