9. Season 8

From beginning to end, this was the most disappointing season of the beloved show. While there were some unforgettable high points, the plot of the season was all over the place. Between the weird manager turnover and James Spader's over-the-top creepy performance as the CEO Robert California, this season never came together in the seamless, consistently funny fashion of the show.

8. Season 9

Ultimately, the final episode saved this season from the bottom spot. Everything came together so beautifully in the end for the beloved characters, and fans were even given a present with a Michael Scott cameo. But the constant conflict between Jim and Pam was nearly unbearable to watch, and is the reason Season 9 remains near the bottom of this list.

7. Season 7

Despite the tearful departure of one of the most beloved television characters, this season gave us some of the best episodes in "The Office" history. From the fruition of Michael Scott's long-lost film to the return of the Dundies, America's favorite boss did not leave quietly. Now let's all do the Scarn!

5. Season 6

From Jim and Pam's Niagra Falls wedding (peak relationship goals) to the selling of Dunder Mifflin, this season was one of the most eventful in the show's history. It also gave us the ultimate Michael Scott screw-up with Scott's Tots.

This season also had some of the best cold opens (see Jim wrapping Dwight's desk and Michael finding out Jim and Pam were together).

There is so much to love about this season, including the flawless "Lazy Scranton", so you really can't go wrong. Season 2 left fans on a major cliffhanger, so there was a lot that needed to happen right off the bat in this season. It came through with a great season premiere and the addition of some great new characters along the way (Andy and Karen, duh).

There is nothing funnier than Michael Scott hitting Meredith with his car. NOTHING. That moment alone could cause this season to take the top spot. But it helps that everything else that happens in Season 4 is so purely funny. Michael's 5k for Rabies awareness, Ryan's corporate fraud, Stanley's defiant moment, Michael and Jan's disastrous dinner party... the list goes on and on. I declare BANKRUPTCY!
