    A year ago today, Organizing for Action held its first Day of Action. Here's how OFA's amazing volunteers and supporters have been making change happen ever since.

    1. OFA volunteers held their very first nationwide Day of Action for gun violence prevention on February 22, 2013.

    2. Volunteers delivered 1.4 million petitions in support of background checks for gun sales to Congress.

    3. When Congress headed home in August, OFA volunteers were there to meet them.

    4. Climate Change Denier Awards: The fantasy of thinking climate change doesn't exist deserves another good imaginary phenomenon. OFA volunteers delivered these awards to 135 denying members of Congress.

    5. Partners and volunteers flooded social media with messages demanding that Congress reopen the government.

    6. Immigration advocates showed everyone what action looks like.
