This story is based on an idea by Siobhan Dowd that she couldn't expand upon due to her death. Patrick Ness instead wove it into this cathartic tale. It's one of my most favorite books of all time so I may sound biased but just hear me out. Though marketed as a middle-grade/YA book, I think this is something for all ages and a must-read for everyone, children and adults. The black and white illustrations add a stunning visual touch to the story. The writing is lovely and the story takes on heavy topics like grief, growing up, loss, and facing your fears in a way that feels light but also hits you right in the gut at the same time. It seems like I'm not the only one who cried reading this so be prepared. With tissues.

I use this too, usually right out of the shower on wet or damp hair, and like how it doesn't weigh down my hair and makes my curls stand out more once my hair dries. Not to mention the lovely scent!
Promising review: "I heard of this product from curly-haired people on Reddit and I can't believe how well it works! I have very fine, soft curly/wavy hair and this cream doesn't make them sticky or heavy, beautifully enhances my curly texture, and helps with the frizz too (I live in GA, so yeaahhh). I had great success air drying with it and applying to wet hair and a tiny touch-ups on dry as well. I don't like crunchy curls and this product keeps my hair touchable and soft." —Ekaterina D.

Promising review: "I have been using the seat pillow for two weeks now, and it has done what it advertises. It has reduced pain, held up up well, and maintained its shape. Given I am not sitting on it all day, which may impact the wear and tear, it still has provided an increase in support and comfort, and has help reduce my dull sciatica pain when having to sit for extended periods of time." —Icarus Rising

When I wore this, it gave me the prettiest natural-looking flush, and it actually lasted me the whole day, which is a miracle for my combo-oily skin. It really looks like it's part of your skin rather than sitting on top, and I love that it's good for your skin too! Plus, if two people with the same skin tone apply the blush, they'll both get a slightly different color! How cool is that? This contains 20 plant-based, antioxidant-rich oils that help nourish skin.

Promising review: "Dewy and glowy. I tried it over makeup and it appeared as a strong pink shade but settled to a flushed, glow-y color. I had my little sister try it too because I wanted to see the color change again and it lasted a really long time on her. The texture was smooth and it was easy to rub in and blend out." —Summer

Star tip: The pads are large so you really don't need one whole one for your face; cut them in half to make them last longer! This is honestly one of my holy-grail exfoliation products. I stopped breaking out once I started using this weekly and just love how even-toned my skin looks after.
Promising review: "I like these a lot! When my skin is feeling dull it's a must-have. I cut them in half because they're quite large and that works just fine for my face. My husband also uses them on his upper back where he has acne and they are great for deep cleaning. There was a huge difference — these had already removed all the dead skin and gunk and there was nothing left to exfoliate! But for as effective as they are, they're not too harsh for my face and don't leave me feeling tight or too dry." —Jackie

I know because I've used it! It makes my hair feel fuller, more voluminous, and clean too. The scent is light and lovely and I love the price.
This is sulfate-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free, and vegan.
Promising review: "I would give 6 stars if it were possible. I have fine hair. This shampoo leaves my hair light and clean. It doesn't dry it out, and it doesn't weigh it down. It smells great, a little like coconut with a hint of citrus, not cloying or perfume-y. And surprisingly, my wet hair is a bit easier to run the comb through than with my other shampoos. For years I've used a terrific salon product, quite expensive, but with COVID it became unavailable so I figured I'd try something new. Like my salon shampoo, this one is concentrated so you don't need to use much. Even the container is well made with a sturdy cap and a chunky container that is less likely to topple from a shower caddy. And I appreciate the environmentally friendly features. Most of all, though, I'm really happy with what it does to my hair." —Sam

The rack is made to not take up too much space and its open design makes it feel breezy rather than cramped.
Promising review: "I was so excited to buy a clothing rack and I couldn't figure out which one would be the best. I narrowed it down to three and chose this one, which happened to be the least expensive. It came in a box in less than a week complete with instructions and labels to help me assemble it. I put it together with no additional tools in an hour when I got home from work and the next day organized the clothes you see in my picture. I love the look of the rack, and as you can see, it holds quite a bit of stuff. I would recommend this 100% to anyone looking to buy. What it came down to for me was price and design, and this was a great purchase!" —Anneliese

This formula is nontoxic and paraben-free.
Promising review: "I didn't think I would like this, but it works! I was shocked. My husband has very regular BMs and that usually means that the rest of us have to avoid that part of the house for at least a little while. I got this for his birthday as a gag gift, but we tried it and it works amazingly well! The only downside is that I'm starting to associate the pleasant citrus scent with poop as well. It is not a subtle coverup, as anyone who walks by the bathroom will smell a great outpouring of citrus, but it's better than the alternative! Overall, I definitely recommend this product to anyone who poops." —steel_muffins

Promising review: "I have really sensitive skin and when I sweat, I need a strong enough deodorant. I wanted something that was not full of bad chemicals, so I decided to try this out. I wanted to test to see if this could handle anything so I put it on, went to work, and when I came home, I decided to mow the lawn. After an hour of mowing the lawn, I noticed I didn't smell musty at all, which is a surprise because normally with other deodorants, they typically wear off within eight hours. This stuff didn't irritate me at all and it lasted for well over 12 hours plus it didn't cake up under my arms, which is nice as well. I am a customer for life with this product." —Enriquez Taylor

BuzzFeed writer Marquaysa Battle swears by it. Here's what she has to say:
"I wore acrylic sets faithfully before the quarantine hit. When I finally fixed my heart to soak off what would be my last full set for a lonnnng time, I had this in my bathroom and began using it regularly along with tea tree oil for my cuticles. Within a month, my nails started to look healthy although they had broken off during my soak-off session. After three months, my nails look even healthier and I'm 100% sure they're stronger now since I broke my pinky nail and it grew back WITHIN A WEEK like it hadn't even happened. YES, I now have supernails, LOL! I also love the very subtle pink shade of this treatment because it gives my nails a natural nude look that I can wear alone but when I wear it underneath other nail polish colors, it doesn't interfere with the other shade."
